About

Campbell McLachlan is a well-known specialist in the field of international commercial litigation and arbitration but is particularly respected for his work on matters involving public and private international law, representing multi-national corporations and a number of sovereign states. Educated at Victoria University of Wellington (LLB (Hons), 1983), and the University of London (Ph D, 1988), Professor McLachlan holds the Diploma cum laude of the Hague Academy of International Law. Formerly a partner in Herbert Smith, New Zealand born Campbell McLachlan is also currently a Professor of Law at Victoria University of Wellington in New Zealand and an Associate member of Bankside Chambers, Auckland (call 1984(NZ)). He is President of the Australian & New Zealand Society of International Law.
