How Chambers operates

Members of Chambers are committed to delivering the highest quality of service. As one of the largest sets at the English Bar, members provide legal advice and advocacy in many areas of law including commercial, international and European law and litigation.

Who can instruct?

Members act for a wide range of commercial and individual clients worldwide, including major City, national and international institutions, governments, private companies and individuals. Work comes from domestic and overseas law firms, and from in-house legal teams and accountancy practices. In addition other professional firms can also instruct directly in certain circumstances. The clerks room will be happy to advise you.

Where do members practise?

Members of Chambers have a global reach with barristers travelling across the world to represent clients.

England and Wales; All divisions of the High Court including the Commercial Court, the Court of Appeal and the House of Lords.
Europe and Overseas; Courts in many jurisdictions including Hong Kong, Singapore, Gibraltar, Bermuda and the Cayman Islands and Arbitrations worldwide. Some members are also admitted in New York, BVI, Antigua, Australia, New Zealand, Brunei, Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland, France and Hong Kong.

Languages

French, German, Spanish, Italian, Chinese, Hindi and Urdu are spoken in Chambers.

Which legal services can members provide?

Members of Chambers provide the full range of services relating to contentious and non-contentious work. Members are leaders in arbitration and mediation.

    Legal advice and practical assistance at all stages of disputes including advice; advocacy; written submissions; trials and hearings; cross examination and oral argument.

    Legal advice delivered as a formal written opinion or in conference. Opinions can be delivered by phone, fax or email and well as in hard copy. Assistance offered in drafting a wide range of commercial agreements and terms.
  • Mediation
    Members act in both UK and international disputes.
  • Expert Evidence
    Expert evidence on English law in a foreign court or arbitration.
